The Founder and Managing Owner of The Law Offices of Precious Felder LLC, is an Atlanta native who founded the firm to provide effective, high-quality legal counsel that would achieve the unique objectives of each individual type of client. Clients often want close contact with their lawyer. Attorney Felder prides herself on being an attentive listener and providing consistent communication to her clients. She works closely with her clients in developing practical solutions to ensure the best possible outcome for their case.

Attorney Felder received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Georgia State University and her Doctor of Jurisprudence Degree from Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School. After working for a small boutique civil litigation firm, Attorney Felder started The Law Offices of Precious Felder LLC immediately out of law school. Attorney Felder has represented a variety of clients in the areas of family law and entertainment. Attorney Felder provides passionate representation, assisting families dealing with the stresses of separation and divorce. She is an experienced litigator, and in 2015, established her first multimillion-dollar jury verdict. For her entertainment clients, she has negotiated six-figure deals in both music and TV/film. She is passionate for all of her clients and provides aggressive, zealous advocacy to obtain her client’s full satisfaction.

Attorney Felder is a member of the Black Entertainment and Sports Lawyers Association, the Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys, and the Gate City Bar Association. Attorney Felder is admitted to practice before the Georgia state courts and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.

In her free time, she enjoys live music, having been a member of the orchestra in college playing the bassoon. She is the mother of two beautiful girls and devotes her life to her family. Attorney Felder prides herself on being personable and relatable to all of her clients.

Jerry Mutangala Kakala

Family Law Associate

Jerry Mutangala Kakala is a compassionate family law attorney who helps clients navigate some of life’s most difficult transitions with empathy, clarity, and respect. Newly admitted to practice in Georgia, Jerry brings nearly a decade of combined international and U.S. legal experience to his work, with a background that includes extensive practice in civil and family matters, as well as criminal, labor, and corporate law.

Originally from the Democratic Republic of Congo, Jerry practiced law in Kinshasa for several years before moving to the United States. He went on to earn his Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Georgia State University College of Law with honors and has since continued serving individuals and families through roles in Georgia-based law firms and pro bono work with Atlanta Legal Aid and the Georgia Asylum and Immigration Network (GAIN).

Clients appreciate Jerry’s calming presence, careful listening, and culturally sensitive approach. Fluent in French, Swahili, and Lingala, with additional language skills in Korean, he is particularly adept at working with multilingual and immigrant families. Whether guiding a client through divorce, custody issues, or other sensitive family matters, Jerry is committed to protecting what matters most: family, stability, and a hopeful path forward

Sivonnia DeBarros, Esq.

Of-Counsel

Sivonnia DeBarros is a seasoned attorney with more than a decade of litigation, intellectual property, and business law experience across state and federal courts. Her practice focuses on protecting brands, resolving complex disputes, and providing strategic legal guidance to entrepreneurs, companies, and creatives. Throughout her career, she has handled federal trademark litigation, contract negotiations, employment discrimination matters, ADA website and data privacy disputes, and a broad range of commercial conflicts.

Sivonnia’s litigation background is rooted in hands-on courtroom experience. She previously served as a 711 Law Clerk with the Illinois Attorney General’s Office and the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, where she appeared in court, conducted legal research, drafted substantive motions, including summary judgment and motions to dismiss—and supported attorneys handling constitutional, criminal, and civil matters. Her early work also includes consumer bankruptcy roles assisting individuals through high-stakes financial transitions.

Her legal acumen extends beyond litigation. Sivonnia has drafted and negotiated a wide array of commercial agreements, including licensing deals, content contracts, NDAs, publishing agreements, and international service arrangements, and has advised companies on business structures, operational strategy, and cross-industry coordination. She has successfully resolved matters involving statewide and federal regulatory issues, ADA compliance, recyclability claims, and data privacy disputes.

Sivonnia is admitted to practice in Illinois, Wisconsin, and Georgia, as well as in multiple federal courts. She is an accomplished author, a former Division I track and field athlete, and an active legal leader currently serving as Chair of the Illinois State Bar Association’s Sports & Entertainment Law Section. Her diverse experience, strategic mindset, and commitment to empowering clients make her a trusted advocate and powerful addition to our team.

Karine Cesar

Client Relations Specialist

Karine Cesar brings a unique blend of cultural insight, academic prowess, and professional experience to her role as a sales consultant. Born in Haiti, Karine’s journey began with her parents’ pursuit of a better life, leading them to settle briefly in Queens, NY, before finding their permanent home in Irvington, NJ, where Karine was raised alongside her younger sisters. Driven by a thirst for knowledge and a passion for personal development, Karine pursued a diverse educational path. She studied Sociology and Psychology at Rutgers New Brunswick, honed her business acumen through classes at Pace University, and furthered her legal expertise with Paralegal courses at Broward County College in South Florida.

In 2005, Karine’s family made the decision to relocate to Georgia, solidifying their commitment to building a brighter future together. With a wealth of professional experience under her belt, including roles in the Mortgage Industry Call Centers, T-1 Sales, and Legal Intake sales, Karine is well-equipped to navigate the intricacies of the sales landscape. Outside of her professional pursuits, Karine finds joy in a diverse range of interests. An avid enthusiast of British criminal programs and the ID Channel, she also indulges her creative side through activities such as painting with diamonds and picture finds.

Additionally, Karine dedicates her time to serving at church and nurturing her garden, finding solace and fulfillment in giving back to her community and connecting with nature. Fluent in both French and Haitian Creole, Karine’s multicultural background enriches her interactions with clients and colleagues alike, allowing her to bridge cultural divides and foster meaningful connections. With a commitment to excellence, a passion for continuous learning, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact, Karine Cesar is dedicated to delivering unparalleled service and exceeding the expectations of her clients.

LATESHA ROBERTS

Office Manager

LaTesha Roberts, originally from Houston, Texas, moved to Georgia in 2020. LaTesha has prior professional legal experience to include office management and law office administration. She obtained her Associates Degree in Applied Science and Business Management. She has also pursued Paralegal Studies. She joined our team as a Legal Secretary to assist the firm with administrative practice management, scheduling, file organization and maintenance.

After a year with the firm, she became one of the clients’ favorite liaisons, promoting her to Intake and Client Relations Manager. After proving her importance by contributing to the firm’s significant growth, she transitioned to become the firm’s Office Manager. Ms. Roberts oversees human resources, accounts receivables, accounts payables, office administration and marketing.

When she is not assisting the firm, she is busy being a full-time mom, who enjoys bowling and watching horror movies.

CRYSTAL THOMPSON

Paralegal

Crystal is a detailed-oriented Paralegal who applies excellent writing skills in drafting briefs, legal memorandums, motions and correspondence. She conducts all legal business professionally and with little guidance from attorneys or supervisors.

Crystal is an extremely organized Paralegal that can manage caseloads with authority and advanced skill. She is capable of collaborating with a diverse range of legal personnel including associates, partners, and legal secretaries. Crystal regularly assists clients with case management and the completion of discovery. She is an integral part of the litigation process and communicates with clients regularly.

Crystal attended Valdosta State University, with a degree in Political Science. She then attended University of Georgia where she received her Paralegal Certificate.

Zakia Dora

Legal Assistant 

Zakia Dora is a Covington, Georgia native who brings dedication, discipline, and a strong commitment to service to her role as Legal Assistant. Following her retirement from the U.S. Navy, Zakia pursued her Bachelor of Arts in English at the University of West Georgia, where she was inspired by mentors and peers to deepen her engagement in the community. She has been an active member of several service and civic organizations, including Rotary International, Rotaract of West Georgia, Carroll County CASA, The Child Advocacy Center, and the Junior League of Dallas.

Her path to the legal profession was driven by both her long-standing interest in law and her passion for helping people navigate important moments in their lives. Zakia plays a vital role in supporting attorneys and clients across family and entertainment law matters. She assists with intake, scheduling, case organization, document preparation, and ongoing communication, ensuring that every client interaction reflects professionalism, care, and attention to detail.

Clients and colleagues alike value Zakia’s approachable nature and her ability to help create a smooth, supportive experience from the first call to the resolution of a matter. Her diverse background in military service, higher education, and community involvement provides a strong foundation for the high level of service she delivers to clients.

Outside the office, Zakia enjoys spending time with her family, reading, gardening, traveling, and playing tennis.
